Meet James
James Zidell developed Axial Flow Movement from a love for fire dancing. As a 500 hour trained yoga instructor, certified personal trainer and athlete with a passion for teaching others to move in many forms, Axial Flow Movement blends core elements from dancing, yoga and action sports creating flows as well as strength training exercises. With or without a staff, with or without weights, James loves to teach others to move to find ease of mind and spaciousness within the body to promote self healing.

Who We Are
Axial Flow Movement emerged from James’ passion for fire dancing and staff dancing, fusing martial arts and dance into a distinctive practice. Whenever one hand moves forward and backward, the other mirrors, akin to juggling, to balance both brain hemispheres, supporting neural health and neuroplasticity—the brain’s capacity to form new connections and adapt. This mindful movement integrates rhythmic flows and relaxation techniques to unite mind and body, grounding you in the present moment while linking breath with motion.
James offers online classes and in-person movement workshops to bring wellness to whoever needs it. His sessions are crafted to enhance coordination, promote mindful movement, tone muscles, and deliver deep relaxation, fostering a balanced, harmonious practice for all. Some of his clients want to build strength, burn fat, find flexibility, or all of these. He will tailor a routine fit for you and your goals in mind.
